Troubleshooting Conflict, Crisis, and Burnout in Clinical Supervision

3 CE Hours

As clinical supervisors engage in activities to aid in the professional growth and development of their supervisees, they must be aware of and prepare for challenges in the process, if they arise. This includes navigating conflict in the supervisory relationship, managing crisis situations, and identifying counselor burn out. This course identifies indicators of these challenges in supervision and established a minimum roadmap for troubleshooting each.

3 CE Hours

  • Understand conflict as a component of the supervisory relationship and employ a conflict resolving and problem-solving framework.
  • Explore crisis scenarios that may present in supervision and create protocols for crisis management, response, and recovery.
  • Identify signs of burnout and compassion fatigue and develop a framework for assisting supervisees with self-care.
